The lead from the AP says it all:  "Despite persistent questions about the ages of several members of the
Chinese women's gymnastics team that won the gold medal, the
International Olympic Committee said Friday there is still no proof
anyone cheated and believes the controversy will be 'put to rest.'"

I feel shades of the John Edwards/Rielle Hunter sexcapade not being covered by the MSM coming on once again.  CNN did have a video up yesterday about a guy who allegedly has found old Chinese text on the Net showing the three girls on the Chinese team were born in 1994 or something of the sort.

And the bloggers are right, the records being certified to the IOC are Chinese government records, and who better to forge documents to their liking than a Communist government hosting the games and wanting some gold to show for it.

This has all the elements of a blogosphere conspiracy, complete with a grassy-matted knoll.   Did the Chinese cheat?  Were the American girls robbed of gold?  Only time it will tell.  Maybe.
