It must be nice to have a job where when you make so many highly public mistakes, few care.  Or few care enough to run you out of town.

Today is a case in point.  The DFW forecast for this morning said that the rains lingering over the Red River would fizzle out before making it to the Dallas area.  Well, they didn't.  And as I type, we're getting pounded with a lot of rain.  Flooding kinds of rain.

Kari was saying yesterday her joints were killing her and was asking me if it was going to rain.  (My weather deal just popped up to tell me it's cloudy in Dallas)  Looking at the radar, I can see otherwise.  So, I should have listened to Kari's prediction and not millions of dollars in computers, radars and satellite imagery.

And of course, most of the local weather fokes got it wrong, too, because they got their tips from the National Weather Service.  Thanks for the good call today guys.  If I'd known you were going to be so wrong, I would have gone to get those two additional packs of shingles last night for the new bike awning at the house.
