Kari and I did a lot of hiking today. We started at Glacier Point and
began down 4-mile trail toward the Yosemite Valley floor and saw some
great views of Half Dome but then decided we would rather head toward
Sentinel Dome. We've made this climb three of the four times we've
been to Yosemite in the past three years. Today, I took a sketch pad
with me and after we enjoyed our lunch on top of the mountain, I sat
down and did a little drawing.
We tried to take a short cut up to Sentinel Dome, but really, we wound up walking about the same distance. It was a great day and I'm absolutely exhausted. We had a fine, fine dinner tonight at Crab Cakes Seafood in Oakhurst. More about that tomorrow.
