Kari and I both have our old-hat phones updated now and golly jee, it's like Christmas Day in early-mid July all night long around here.
We've been going through the apps that are available over the phone, and I have to say right now my favorites include the Travelocity app, a Spanish translator, Pandora the radio station for ME, the Typepad app, and Loopt. Apple also added a Contacts icon which makes it easier to get to who you want to get to without having to open the phone and then clicking contacts.
And then there is the fact that with Microsoft Exchange Server, I'm now allowed to check and send my email from my iPhone, which could be good and bad. Right now, I'm seeing this as a good thing.
Kari and I also each downloaded Shazam, which if you open it and there's a song playing that you don't know the name of, it will give a listen, tell you what the song is, and even give you the option to go ahead and buy it from iTunes. How cool is that?!
Now I'm sure those of you out there who don't own an Apple product or who have resisted getting the iPhone will continue to shrug us off as a bunch of nerds, but there is going to have to come a time when you overcome your hostilities and realize you need to make the switch, that Vista is a POS opperating system and the smartphone you got from another carrier just isn't as good as the iPhone oldie or the 3G.
Admitting it is the first step toward recovery. Come on. You can do it.
