Kari, my wife, spent nearly the whole day today outside painting on the Santa's Workshop. It was a project I created and initiated, and one she took the reigns of and really took it to a level where I could just not go.
This morning she was saying she was going to add multi-colored Lollipops to the walls of the workshop. She painted them in acrylics with a stencil. I have to say, I would not have tried this myself. But after about six hours of painstaking care, well, it really made a nice tough.
And gosh dawg, our front yard already is becoming the talk of the neighborhood. We had half a dozen girls over this evening playing in the workshop and then running over to the Santa Sleigh only steps away. There was so much laughing and giggling going on in our yard, it was just the nicest sound. So many good memories were made tonight on a scale we shall never fully know, and my wife, with her careful touch, added some special color to that.
