Gosh, you'd never know at the moment that in as little as an hour, it'll be noisy here in the house. For the moment, Molly and I are sitting on the couch. When I fell off to sleep last night I was so tired, I didn't even get undressed. Actually, didn't even get into the bed. Just collapsed on top of it. Well, Molly was inside.
When I get up, she usually follows me from one part of the house to the other. Not this morning. Why? Well, I'm guessing Ricky, our 16 yo son, let her out last night when he let Maggie out; Maggie came in, and he didn't wait for Molly.
So here we sit. She's in now. Sleeping next to me. I'm in the family room, sitting across from the tree playing Christmas music on iTunes and sharing my morning with you.
It's going to be a busy day. Mom's coming tonight. We're pulling out the wii for the kids today so that they can get to use it without having to wait for each other on Christmas Day. I need to start cooking chili for supper tonight. I need to get a grate for the fireplace today–it's supposed to be freezing cold here in the area Sunday and Monday, so a fire will be nice. (I have all but melted the old grate.) And I'm playing Santa tonight. And gotta run to Love Field to get mom as soon as I conclude that.
Just a few programming notes. I've noticed the past few days that I'm beginning to feel my tailbone again. &*(#@$!!!
Have adopted Tweetdeck in the past week and seem to be liking it. Kari's been using it, too, and wonders why we didn't begin using it a long time ago. Not sure I have an answer for that.
I think I just heard Ashleigh up upstairs, so the peace of the morning is soon fading, though I have yet to see the first glimmer of sunlight.
