It's that time of year.  Well, almost.  As many of you recall, last year, over on my soon-to-be merged blog, I built a Santa Sleigh and a Santa's Workshop for display in the front yard. Then Kari made me a Santa Suit and I was out front several nights as parents brought their wide-eyed children by to see Santa.  It was excellent and really made the season so much more enjoyable. Well, a year later, and a little more savvy on the marketing side, we're starting to tell others in our area that we're doing it again.  And this year, we're doing something extra, encouraging our visitors to consider bringing an upwrapped toy, gift certificates, etc. and we'll ensure they get to the Balch Springs Police Department for their 23rd annual Santa Cop program.  Last year, 150 families in our city of 22,000 were able to receive a gift they otherwise would not have.

So this year we're doing 12 nights.  See the Christmas stocking for times. If you're interested in finding out more about our efforts, please check back for more information.    12-night-stocking
