Well, if you read The Daily Record in the UK you’ll see a great, “exclusive” article about KT Tunstall and her upcoming album to be released in September. But as the only alert commenter has already posted, it’s just about all the information there is out there, and it’s on KT’s site, too.
Frankly, I don’t care much of where it’s coming from, I’m just glad it’s coming. I fell in love with KT’s music when I first heard her version of Sleigh Ride on the radio here in Dallas at Christmas 2009. (My iTunes counter shows that the song has played 424 times at this point.) Five months from now, we’ll run that sucker up higher. Ah, what the heck, I enjoy this version so much, you can see it now, too!
She really has a great repertoire of music and I find I can relate to a lot of what she says in her music. With my situation with Kari right now, she’s just a few miles away but she really feels like she’s the Other Side of the World to Me.
KT’s new album, with a new band (you can read The Daily Record’s copying just as well as if I reposted it here) like I said is due out in September and is called Tiger Suit. What that has to do with what’s going to be on the album, I’m not sure. KT starts a series of mini-events beginning tomorrow throughout England. So for the time being, she’s on the other side of the world to me, too.
Can’t wait for it to come across the pond. I’ll be one of the first to be buying tickets. Of course, if she wants to put on a free show here in Mesquite/Balch Springs, Texas, too, like she’s doing tomorrow and beyond, I’m happy to help set that up. My three girls would be pretty pumped about it, too.
By the way, if you’re not following her on Twitter, you should be. She’s posting at least once or twice a day now so it’s not intrusive if you set it to the SMS notifications.
