Whew. It’s been a busy day. Almost too busy, but we’re getting to the point where momentum takes over and things begin taking care of themselves, etc.
I love working on events, but then there’s whole thing about how I get more into the mechanics of them instead of being able to stop and partake.
I’m in the mechanics mode right now.
I’ve got roughly 21 minutes to shower and clean up and get down to the Chevrolet Hospitality Suite in room 203 of the hotel in preparation for the 6:30 beginning of our kick off event, the VIP Reception with Cal Ripken.
There’s a great excitement here in the air. Bill Clinton is here in the building, too, for a political endorsement event. Oh, the things you have to just plan on happening that you can’t plan for. Lots of S-pins here. They’ve gotten smaller than the last one I had when I did an event for President GW Bush in Montgomery in 2006.
Okay, the shower.
