All I can say is this.  At least one professional sports team from Arlington will be playing in a championship game in Arlington this season.

The Texas Rangers are going to be in the World Series.

It won’t be the Cowboys.  They will be the highly-paid players who might can WATCH two championship games in Arlington this season.

Oh, yeah, Jerry can WATCH, too.  The sad and frustrating part is he still makes money on one of them.  And we fans continue to be robbed of a good season and a good team because Jerry Jones is like a weather forecaster–he can be wrong nearly 80 percent of the time and still keep his job.

I’m not a Rangers fan.  Though I’m happy for them to make it to the World Series.  I’m still loyal to my hapless Cubs, my awful Cowboys, and feeling good about Auburn this year.   I’ll be better if we beat LSU tonight.

Maybe the Super Bowl XLV Host Committee should use the theme: “Hey, we won’t have a local team in the Super Bowl, but the Rangers are in the World Series.  Either way, Jerry still makes money.”

And sadly, that’s what it’s all about.
