Spider Webs Over Mesquite, Texas

If you live in North Texas, chances are you peered up into the heavens on this beautiful, blue-sky day and stopped in amazement.

It’s not windy today and yet the sky is full, and I mean full, of these massive spider webs that are floating past.  Thing is, some of them at higher altitudes are even going back in the other direction.

These webs are huge. Some are at least 20-30 feet in length, I’m not kidding.

What is making all the massive spider webs that are floating across North Texas?

What is making all the massive spider webs that are floating across North Texas?

So here’s the mystery.

Where are they coming from?

What emits a web that long and how does it get airborne?

And how come there are so many of them floating past when it’s not windy?
